Okay, since I just started reading your blog today (since we have had similar views in the comments of others! And you've been to my blog, too),I missed the post on Aug 9, and didn't want to comment there, just in case you didn't see it. So. . . we have had night terrors here, too. Corwin was inconsolable and wild. Once it was "the be, the bees!!", often he'd be trying to fight me off while calling for me. Awful, as you know. I'm not sure of the age of your kids, but Corwin's terrors started WAY early - 8-9 months. Sporadic at that time, then worse. We noticed a huge connection with toilet training and night terrors. Apparently, sleep walking/ sleep talking/bed-wetting/night terrors all happen in the same stage of sleep. Once we got through toilet training, it was clear sailing. Now, almost 6, he has it maybe twice a year. More prone to talking/moaning in his sleep if over-tired or he's gotten in trouble soon before bed. One thing I found really helped was to make sure he and his room were cool, esp his feet. I'd even carry him to the bathroom, run the water (the sound seemed to help), and put cool, damp cloths on his feet.

Sorry this is SO long. I hope it helps at least a little. I feel for you!

Thank You so much! Big O will have an episode every once in a while (he's now 11) but nothing as dramatic as they were when he was little. I'm hoping Little O (3 1/2) will have an easier time of it. We never could figure out if anything in particular triggered Big O's episodes. But you know, even when he was an infant, he would get a wierd little tremor where he would just tense every muscle and shake for a few seconds. Scary in your brand new infant. Nothing like that has ever manifested with Little O, so I'm crossing my fingers.

Ha! You were just trying to escape Nikki's trash talk! I would NEVER do anything like that, you know! I'm just sweet... like cookies or ice cream or cheesecake. But I would never trash talk...nooooooo!

ME?! Talk trash??

*blink, blink*

I would never do such a thing. It would be mean to talk about brownies and all those sweets we love.

It would just be cruel to talk about those lovely fast food places like Wendy's and McDonalds and Burger King.

It just wouldn't be right.
